Turn comments on or off across the whole site

Show or hide the discussion area on every item across every board with one switch.

Step by step

1. In the WordPress admin menu, click SimpleBoards > Settings.
2. Open the Comments tab.
3. In the Comments row:
   • Tick Enable comments on board items to allow comments.
   • Untick the box to hide the discussion area on every board.
4. Click Save Changes.

What changed

With comments on, the discussion area appears on every item that allows it. With comments off, the discussion area is hidden on all boards, even if a single board has comments enabled in its own settings.
