Add and color a category

Group ideas and roadmap items by topic. Each category can have its own color, which shows as a small chip on cards.

Step by step

1. In the WordPress admin menu, click SimpleBoards > Categories.
2. On the left, fill in the Add New Category form.
3. In the Name box, type the category name. Example: Mobile App.
4. Leave Slug empty. WordPress will create one from the name.
5. (Optional) Pick a Parent Category to nest this one under another category.
6. In the Belongs to Board dropdown, pick a board to use this category only on that board. Pick All Boards (global) to use it everywhere.
7. In the Category Color field, click the color square and pick a color.
8. Click Add New Category.

What changed

The new category appears in the list on the right. You can now pick it when you create or edit an item. The color you picked is used for the small category chip on each card.
