Add a custom status with its own color
Add your own status (for example, "In Review" or "Planned") and pick the color that shows up on roadmap cards and column headers.
Step by step
- In the WordPress admin menu, click SimpleBoards > Statuses.
- On the left, fill in the Add New Status form.
- In the Name box, type the status name. Example:
In Review. - Leave Slug empty. WordPress will create one from the name.
- In the Belongs to Board dropdown, pick a board to use this status only on that board. Pick All Boards (global) to use it everywhere.
- In the Status Color field, click the color square and pick a color.
- To mark this status as a release stage, tick the box next to Items in this status are released. This changes the date label on the card from "Due" to "Released". See Mark a status as a release stage.
- Click Add New Status.
What changed
The new status appears in the list on the right. Roadmap items can now be set to this status, and the color you picked is used for the status dot on cards and the column header on the roadmap.
