Review and approve incoming ideas

When moderation is on, new ideas wait in the Items list with the status Pending. You read each one and either publish it or reject it.

Before you start:

• Moderation is on. See Turn moderation on or off.

Step by step

1. In the WordPress admin menu, click SimpleBoards > Items.
2. Above the list, click the Pending view to see only ideas waiting for review.
3. Hover over an idea title. A row of links appears below it.
4. Click Publish to make the idea visible on the public board.
5. Or click Reject to remove it from the public board. See Reject an idea and send the submitter an email.

To approve many ideas at once:

1. Tick the checkbox next to each idea.
2. Open the Bulk actions dropdown at the top of the list.
3. Pick Publish.
4. Click Apply.

What changed

Published ideas appear on the Ideas tab right away. Rejected ideas are hidden from the public board but stay in the Items list under the Rejected view.
