Reject an idea and send the submitter an email
Mark an idea as rejected. When the rejection email is turned on, the submitter is notified that their idea was not approved.
Before you start:
- The idea is already in SimpleBoards > Items.
- You want to confirm the rejection email is on (see step 1).
Step by step
- Turn the rejection email on:
- Click SimpleBoards > Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- In the Notify Admin group, find Item rejected (admin record) and tick Enable this notification.
- Click Save Changes.
- Go to SimpleBoards > Items.
- Hover over the idea you want to reject.
- Click Reject in the row of links below the title.
- To reject several ideas at once, tick their checkboxes, choose Reject from the Bulk actions dropdown, and click Apply.
What changed
The idea is moved to the Rejected view and is hidden from the public board. If the rejection notification is on, an email is sent using the template under Settings > Notifications.
You can change the email wording any time. Open Settings > Notifications, find the matching row, and click Customize email template to edit the subject and body.
