Activate your Pro license

Pro feature You need SimpleBoards Pro active to use this.

This page shows you how to paste your license key into your site and confirm the license is active. Pro features only switch on after the license is active.

Before you start

  • The free SimpleBoards plugin is installed and active.
  • The SimpleBoards Roadmap Pro plugin is installed and active.
  • You have your license key from your purchase email. It looks like SD1P-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXX.

Step by step

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to SimpleBoards > License.
  2. You will see a panel titled SimpleBoards Roadmap Pro license with a grey pill next to the title that reads Not activated.
  3. Click inside the text box that shows the placeholder SD1P-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXX.
  4. Paste your license key into the box.
  5. Click the Activate button.

What changed

The page reloads. The grey pill turns green and reads Active. A green message at the top of the panel says License activated on this site. The panel now also shows:

  • Your license key with most letters hidden, so you can confirm you pasted the right one.
  • Your site count, for example 1 active · 4 remaining (plan: 5 sites).
  • Your next renewal date, or Lifetime, no renewal if you bought a lifetime plan.

All Pro features are now ready to use. You do not need to reload the rest of the admin. Open a board to see the new Private fields, the Announcement tab, the Workflow Automations tab, and the Design tab.

If activation fails

If you click Activate and a red message appears, check these in order:

  1. The key matches the one in your purchase email. Watch for extra spaces at the start or end.
  2. Your plan still has room for one more site.
  3. Your server can reach simpleboardswp.com. If your host blocks outgoing connections, ask them to allow this address.

If the key looks right and the red message still appears, contact [email protected] with a copy of the message.
