Run an analysis on your ideas
This page shows you how to ask Torin to read the ideas on your boards and produce a summary. You can run an analysis for one board or for all boards at once. The whole thing takes a few seconds and gives you a quick answer to the question "what should we look at first?"
Before you start
- SimpleBoards Pro is active and Torin AI is on. See Turn Torin AI on or off.
- You are logged in as a user who can manage SimpleBoards settings (an admin).
- You have at least a few ideas on at least one board. With zero ideas, Torin has nothing to analyze.
Step by step
- In your WordPress admin, go to SimpleBoards > Items. This is the list of all items across all boards.
- Look at the top of the items list. There is a dropdown labeled All Boards. Use it to choose what Torin should analyze:
- To analyze the ideas on one board only, pick that board's name from the dropdown and click Filter.
- To analyze every board, leave the dropdown on All Boards.
- Look at the bottom right corner of the screen. A small round Torin AI button is sitting there.
- Click the Torin AI button. A panel slides open with a greeting and five buttons:
- Analyze Ideas: the full overview (top ideas, duplicates, suggestions).
- Top Ideas: only the strongest signals.
- Duplicate Ideas: only the suspected duplicates.
- Reports: a short health report.
- What Users Want Most: the priority groups based on user demand.
- Click the button for the analysis you want. The panel shows a short waiting message while Torin reads your data. This is normal and takes a few seconds.
- When Torin is done, the result is shown in the same panel. Each section has a clear heading. Some rows have an Apply button you can click to take the suggested action.
A note on cached results
Torin remembers your last result for each board and each analysis type. The next time you click the same button, the saved result is shown right away, so you do not wait. You will see a small Last analyzed X minutes ago note above the result. Click the Regenerate button next to it to ask Torin to read your ideas again.
What changed
You now have a short summary you can act on. Acting on a suggestion (clicking Apply on a row) makes the change at once in the database. Suggestions that move ideas to the trash ask you to confirm first.
